Many people in the region around Grand Rapids may recognize HAWK Construction, Inc., (HAWK) the name of the commercial construction company Doug Hanson and his two partners, Ray Axley and Jeff Worcester, started in 1998.

Hawk Custom Homes (HCH) was established in 2002 to meet the specific needs of the custom residential design and construction market. Although HCH is a separate entity, we still routinely contract services with HAWK for design and construction of some of our projects.

In 2007, Doug became the sole owner of HCH. Doug has been in the building industry since 1977 when he graduated from vocational school and began working as a carpenter. In the years since then he's worked as a carpenter, estimator, project manager and business owner / operator. He and his wife, Nancy, now manage the business.

In 2008 Hawk Custom Homes was accepted as the Wausau Homes Builder for the Grand Rapids area. We are excited to join up with Wausau Homes and add to the offerings and services we can make available to home buyers in the area.
